Non-GMO organic coated Dutch White Clover Trifolium repens grows in full sun to shade in sandy to loam to clay soils. It fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the soil, reducing fertilizer needs to seldom or none. An essential part of any flowering lawn, Dutch White Clover has broad leaves which make your lawn drought tolerant by shading the ground and keeping it cool and moist, preventing your grass from dying in mid-summer heat waves. It also crowds out weed seedlings. If you would prefer a smaller leaved plant with fewer flowers that still provides the nitrogen-fixing benefits of clover, check out Micro-Clover.

Also available in an easy to spread shaker container with organic compost and soil builders, see Dutch White Clover Easy Spread Shaker.

Spreading seeds by hand is a learned art and must be done carefully to ensure even application and complete coverage. These seeds are extremely small and difficult to spread evenly by hand. Hand application often leads to clumping and over-seeding. For best results, use a bulking agent or carrier such as compost, sand, or sawdust. Our Easy Spread Shakers and our Easy Spread Bulk Containers include organic compost and soil builders to help spread the seeds easily.

Dutch White Clover has white with some pink flower blooms from May to October, creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. The spring bloom will turn brown and crunchy in the heat of mid-summer. Simply mow those flower heads off, and new blooms will push out in early autumn as temperatures begin to come down from summer.

USDA Hardiness Zones: 3-9
Height: 2.5-6" (with blooms)
Bloom/Period: Yes, late spring into fall
Sunlight: Full sun to shade
Soil: Grows well in clay, silt, and loam. Will grow in sand.
Drought Tolerance: High

  • How To Start Your Flowering Lawn Journey -- No need to remove grass; simply mow existing grass very short, spread the Dutch White Clover seed evenly, water, and watch it grow!
  • Better For Your Family & The Environment -- Our specialty flowering lawn seed is kid and pet friendly. It attracts beneficial pollinators while reducing your property's carbon footprint!
  • Reduce Maintenance Costs -- Dutch White Clover is a nitrogen fixer that replaces lawn fertilizers and reduces the need to mow. Once your flowering lawn is established, it won't require watering, except in periods of extended drought.
  • What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed -- With regular watering, Dutch White Clover will germinate in 1-2 weeks, and plants will be small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season, it will bloom low-growing white flowers with a touch of pink about 2-4” from May to October, creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success.
  • Pure Flower Seeds -- Unlike other brands, Flawn Seed doesn't use grass seed fillers. Our specialty seed contains Dutch White Clover Seed. Flowering seeds have longer germination periods and mature slower than grasses. Mature flowering lawns with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in thicker grass lawns that have been heavily fertilized in the past.
Seeding Information:

When to Seed: Spring, late summer, or early fall when rains are frequent and temperatures are moderate. Do not seed if a frost is forecast. Can also be dormant seeded on frozen ground.

Site Preparation: Mow at .5-1", remove clippings and rake any additional thatch. The soil must be visible and loosened up before seeding or seed will likely not grow.

Watering: Lightly water after seeding to start germination process. Prevent soil from completely drying out for a period of 1-2 weeks, then water as needed if seedlings start wilting.

Mowing: Maintain a height of 3" for the first year. This prevents the grass and any weeds from crowding out the baby Flawn seedlings.

Fertilizer: For lawns that have not been fertilized recently it may be beneficial to apply a low nitrogen organic fertilizer 2-3 months after seeding such as a 8-0-4 or similar.

Weed Control: It is best to remove excessive weeds by hand or natural methods before seeding. After seeding, remove unwanted weeds as desired. WARNING: Do not broadcast apply weed killers as they will kill the plants.

Monstrously Sweet
Format: Kindle
This book packs an emotional punch, especially if you’ve experienced childhood trauma (particularly abuse and/or neglect). Alexandra creates these three strong protectors who love her and will do anything to make her feel happy and safe. She started out drawing them when she was a small child, and then transitioned to stories as she grew up. Lucien, Elwin, and Kylo look frightening in their monster forms, but it’s clear that they would never hurt Alexandra, and she has never felt afraid of them. They have very distinct personalities that we get to know better throughout the book. The love and devotion they have for Alexandra is sweet and unwavering. This is a fantastic and creative story! The world-building is wonderful - it’s a shared world with M. Sinclair, and takes place at a university for supernatural beings. The additional world-building within Alexandra’s story added even more depth and intrigue. The spicy times were 🥵 and it’s more of a medium burn, but it works with the characters and I expect that it’ll pick up quite a bit in the next books. Monsters Within has a unique way of addressing mental health issues that can come from being abused and neglected. There are some flashbacks to Alexandra’s childhood that provide some insight but they don’t go into heavy details. I absolutely adored this book and can’t wait for more!

One of us
Format: Kindle
Alexandra is literally one of us. She's just lucky her fictional men became a reality hahaha. This was a good start to what I know is going to be a great series. This was fast paced and kept me entertained. Im ready for the chaos to slow down a little bit so we can get more into the character development. There's so much happening, I feel like we hardly know anything about anyone BUT that's why this is a series so let's get to the next one!

Alex and her monsters
Format: Kindle
A somewhat intriguing story that did drag a little despite giving us some world building. The explanations just took too long even if we don’t get the full picture yet. I will say the story does have some humor and is very hot. I may pick up the second book at some point.

Interesting Monster Academy
Format: Kindle
Alexandra is tired of being alone, using writing to escape from her reality. But when her monster protectors in her writing come to life, her life is going to become a little more exciting than she ever anticipated. This was a fun take on an academy romance. We have two different realities, one for the real world and one for the supernatural world. I loved the Dark Imaginarium Academy and the intrigue it held throughout the story. The plot was fun and the characters were written beautifully. Alexandra, Elwin, Kylo and Lucien were great characters and have the best out of every relationship dynamic. My heart does belong to Lucien, because who doesn't love a murderous psycho willing to kill anyone who hurts you? I wish there was a little more intrigue to the plot itself. The story was fun to read and well written, but it's still a straightforward Academy romance. I would've liked to see something that made the story really stand out more.
