1920s vintage dresses Vintage 1920s Silk Chiffon Waterfall Flapper DressA classic 1920s flapper style dress! Black silk. A simple drop waist, sleeveless silhouette. Chiffon triangles cascade down one side of the front and move beautifully when dancing. Beautiful in the simplicity! Slips on over the head with no openings. I believe the silk waist band at one time was tacked together to create a more blouson effect above, but was let out at some point in the past to allow for a better fit in the hips. | Condition | Overall very good. The dress is very structurally sound and very wearable (with care as with all 1920s dresses). There are just a few minor signs of wear that are pointed out for accuracy although they don't affect the beauty of the dress.. There is an older/period repair on the back (see last photo) and a tiny pinhole on the back near the hem. There are a few scattered small holes in the chiffon, but the aren't extremely visible because of the draping. As mentioned above, the waist band has been let out. Priced accordingly. |
