Reviews
"Readers interested in an academic review of mysterious phenomena will be well served by this series. Each book begins with an attention-grabbing introduction—a young child’s past-life memories or Christopher Columbus’s Bermuda Triangle experience. But the tone quickly turns to a reasoned examination of the history, science, and beliefs surrounding each mystery. Readers will learn about famous tales such as H.G. Wells’s “The War of the Worlds” broadcast and Plato’s recounting of Er’s near-death experience. Colored text boxes and large photos and illustrations break up the pages. The books conclude with a bibliography, glossary, index, and list of websites. VERDICT Valuable research material for unusual topics."

School Library Journal, November 2021

"Readers with an interest in unsolved mysteries and legends will find a good source in the Odysseys in Mysteries series. Alien Abductions describes what many abduction and alien reports have in common, some of the theories that aim to explain such events, as well as descriptions of recorded encounters. Bermuda Triangle explores the history of lost ships and planes in the triangle, examines the lore that surrounds this part of the ocean, and provides accounts and possible explanations for the mysterious occurrences. Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) provides information and statistics about the similarities found in re- ported NDEs, the challenges of researching this phenomenon, NDE accounts throughout history, and proposed reasons for these experiences. Sea Monsters looks at creatures in ancient myths, literature, and in beliefs from different cultures; the actual marine animals that might have inspired these monsters; and accounts of sightings and research attempts. Digital illustrations and color photographs accompany the text, which flows smoothly and is well organized in five sections. As with all Odysseys series, the spacious formatting and narrow trim size makes the volumes feel more mature without resorting to densely packed contents. A bibliography, index, and endnotes with glossary are included. Works great and is affordable!
Color: Black
Works great! The magnet it comes with is quite weak. But the tool itself works great.

No gimmicks, just a solid WDT tool
Color: Metal Black
This is the second Aieve product I’ve purchased, after a very good experience with their XL espresso cooling ball. This WDT tool isn’t flashy, it doesn’t look like a praying mantis or deploy like a switchblade; but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The tool sits in a nicely weighted base that protects the needles from bending, which is a big improvement over the magnetic “floating” styles. The base has enough weight to stay put, and it’s easy to remove and return the tool without it tipping or sliding around. The base itself fits nicely in my tamping station. It also comes with replacement needles, which are simple to swap out when needed. If you’ve been going down the rabbit hole comparing every WDT tool out there, this is a straightforward, well-designed option at a very reasonable price.

Solid 4mm WDT tool with a solid stand and a magnet option for some machines.
Color: Black
Solid WDT tool with good hand feel and convenient counter top stand. 4mm needles and it works fine. 10 of these 4mm needles adequately stir the espresso in the portafilter. No real complaints about build quality. I attached the included magnet. There are many people who have identified that the magnet is not strong. This is true but it depends on the materials on your espresso machine or grinder. On stainless steel units (unpainted or thinly painted) it has good adhesion. On units that might have used thick paint ( which shouldn't be compromised) it may not stick well. So I took a star off--I do have a stainless steel Espresso machine and it sticks fine. It also stuck ok to my refrigerator , microwave and airfryer. If your espresso station is near other appliances---well there you go--also it does show that it "can stick" to fairly common other magnetic materials. My refrigerator is coated in white . I was going to simply buy acupuncture needles, a wine cork and make one of these but add those costs together and heck $9 for this unit with a stand was a great deal.

It’s a cheap tool but can actually make an impact on the coffee. Been using for a few months and still works great.

Great purchase!
Color: Black
I’ve been using the Aieve WDT Tool for a bit now, and overall I really like it. There was definitely a learning curve at first. It took me a little time to figure out how to use it in a way that actually improved my puck prep instead of just stirring the grounds around. Once I slowed down and found a consistent motion that worked for me, I really started to see the difference in distribution. Build-wise, I know some people have mentioned the stand falling off. Personally, I haven’t had any real issues with it unless I’m the one who bumps it and sends it flying. If it’s staying put and I’m not being clumsy, it’s fine. I’m using the magnet side to stick it right to my Breville, which has been super convenient. It keeps everything within reach and makes my workflow smoother. For the price, it’s been a solid addition to my espresso setup, especially now that I’m getting the hang of it.
