RARE Giant Yellow Brazilian Passionfruit Seeds - Heirloom Vegetable & Fruit Garden Seeds
Passiflora edulis flavicarpa
Listing is for 1 packet of 15 seeds

The large-fruited passion fruit cultivar originates from Brazil, and produces nearly one-pound fruits yielding almost half a cup of juice each. Successful cultivation requires two separate seed-grown plants and hand pollination by crossing the pollen from two seperate plants OR cross pollination with the help of bees. Therefore, sow more than 1 seed and transplant them close together (4-10FT apart). This variety is vigorous and needs a large trellis to grow up on. I have seen mature vines reaching the top of telephone poles. Passion fruit is very fast to begin fruiting from seed. Expect to harvest within one year of transplanting. This sour and intense fruit is perfect for making sweet drinks and ice cream. Passion fruit is a tropical plant that does not like the cold. It will be killed by hard freezes or snow. Best to grow in cones 9 and up that have very mild winters. FYI - passion fruit is a butterfly host plant for Gulf fritillary and Zebra Longwing butterflies. Please do not spray passion fruit vines with anything. These caterpillars will munch on the leaves but its not enough damage to negativly impact passion fruit vines.

PLANTING
Germination: 5-10 days

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2-1 inch deep

Sowing: Sow seeds in solo cups, about 8 weeks before your last spring frost date. Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing. Use a heat mat to keep the soil warm and humidity domes to help speed up germination. Can take 2-4 weeks to germinate. Transplant outside once all danger of frost has passed.

Ideal growing conditions: Can grow fine in native Florida sandy soil but does exceptionally well in soil rich with composted organic matter. Likes full sun or partial shade. Fertilize with some organic granular fruit or citrus fertilizer a few times to help it grow fast. Once the plant is mature, it doesnt need fertilizer. Likes decent amounts of water, but is drought tolerant once established. Does not like waterlogged soil as this can cause root rot.

Days to maturity: Usually starts fruiting within a year if the vines are big/mature enough

Very firm pillow
Size: Queen (Mid Loft), Number of Items: 1
I'm not sure I received the same pillow as advertised. The pillows I received are extremely firm. I would not classify it as medium. It was also not covered by a cotton case. it had a very sheer gauze like material covering the latex.

Super springy and comfy!
Size: Queen (Mid Loft), Number of Items: 1, Size: Queen (Mid Loft), Number of Items: 1
I’ve been looking for a pillow that offers support but is soft and cushy. I had never tried a latex pillow before, and I was skeptical because I heard it could be hard, but I decided to give it a try. I tried a memory foam and it was waaaaay too hard to be comfortable. This pillow retains its shape, is really soft and plushy, and works great for back or side sleeping. It had a slight smell (not unpleasant though) when we first unboxed it, but it was gone by day 2. The pillow also sprang up immediately on unwrapping it. After a few days it seemed a little bit bigger, but it didn’t really need any time to air out/fluff up, it was basically ready straight out of the box. I’m often picky about pillows because I get headaches from sleeping on my neck in the wrong way, but this one is great and I haven’t had a problem at all. My hubby likes it too :) it’s the favorite house pillow now.

Sleeping like a dream!
Size: Queen
We stayed at a Westin hotel recently and usually I don't sleep well when traveling but this overnight stay was heaven! I don't know what magic is in these pillows but they are a dream! I sleep in my side and these are perfect, I sleep the entire night with no back or neck issues. I've tried some expensive pillows from Sealy, Serta, etc, and nothing compared to the Westins! So glad these are available through the Westin Amazon store! And less expensive than anything else I've tried.

Not the same as hotel pillows.
Size: King
Ordered this pillow after staying at a Westin hotel. I should have returned it because it seemed different from the pillow at the hotel. It feels worn out and doesn’t keep its shape. Would not recommend.

Big high pillow, firmer than expected.
Size: Queen
This pillow could be a 5 for some people , and it was a 1 for us. Too high for our neck. Side sleepers. It’s probably very good for a back sleeper.
